Rwanda’s famous artist Kenny Sol has announced his split with 1:55AM management after just one year of patnership.
The former Yemba Voice band member has recently announced his departure from the the music lebel 1:55AM.
While talking to the audience, both sides said that they “mutually and amicably agreed to pursue separate creative paths” starting from Monday, June 2.
Kenny Sol’s leave is a big setback to the 1:55 AM management with its founder Coach Gael reportedly growing frustrated that he may have invested in a business that doesn’t generate profits.
“I blew a lot of money, helped a lot of people, did a lot of favors, and never asked for anything in return. Now it’s time to put complete focus on myself,” Said coach Gael on his IG post.
Kenny Sol joined 1:55AM in February 2024 after a fruitful conversation with Coach Gael.
Under their management, he released a number of bangers like “One More Time” featuring Tanzanian music star Harmonize, “Enough,” “2 In 1,” No One” featuring Nigeria’s DJ Neptune, “Phenomena” and “Déjà Vu” which he released just before their exit became official.
With Kenny Sol and Ross Kana gone, 1:55AM remains with Bruce Melodie and producer Element Eleeeh although the latter is also linked with a move out of the label.
