Emilia Clarke, best known as Daenerys Targaryen on Game of Thrones, survived two life-threatening brain aneurysms during the height of her acting career. After her first surgery in 2011 at age 24, she faced aphasia and memory loss, yet pushed herself to return to work. A second, more complex surgery followed when doctors discovered another aneurysm, making her journey back even harder.

Instead of staying silent, Clarke opened up about her experiences, writing a personal essay and founding SameYou, a charity aimed at helping people recover from brain injuries and strokes. Her story is not just one of survival but of turning personal pain into purpose, inspiring others to speak up, seek help, and find strength in vulnerability.
