Soulja Boy has found himself on the wrong side of the law once again. The rapper was arrested early Sunday following a traffic stop on suspicion of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, this following the incident where the 35-year-old was recently arrested in Los Angeles for a weapons charge.

Early Sunday morning (Aug. 3), the LA police executed a traffic stop on a car in which the “Crank That” rapper was a passenger. The officers reportedly did not reveal why they stopped the vehicle, who the driver was, or why they decided to conduct a search. However, upon searching the car, they discovered a firearm was in Soulja’s possession. “A passenger was detained and the police arrested DeAndre Cortez Way for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm,” they said in a statement.

The Atlanta rapper has yet to comment on his arrest, but this marks the second time in over 10 years that he was taken into custody for a weapons charge. In 2014, the first time he was arrested for gun possession, police discovered that the firearm was loaded. Not to mention that earlier this year, the rapper had to pay a $4 million settlement to a woman who accused him of rape, assault, sexual battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
