On the evening of 1 November 2025, BK Arena hosted The Silver Gala, an elegant event curated by Sherrie Silver that blended music, fashion, and philanthropy for Rwanda’s creative scene. Among the standout moments were the charity auction raising over 20 million Rwandan francs to support youth arts programs, and comedy-hosting by Kenya’s Eric Omondi, which added vibrant energy to the night.

The event also celebrated fashion talent from Rwanda and beyond, crowned a top designer from Icyacumi with a 7 million RWF prize, and featured performances by leading Rwandan artists such as Knowless Butera and Ross Kana. The show was highly anticipated not only in Rwanda but also accross africa due to sherie silver’s influence.

Trace TV, one of the leading channels in Africa and globally, has agreed to showcase The Silver Gala across all its platforms. This marks a major step in promoting Rwanda and its artists. Many have said that Sherrie Silver is among the few individuals who have successfully elevated Rwandan culture to an international level through tangible achievements.

On the men’s side, fashion was a hot topic. Artists Ross Kana, Kivumbi King, and Juno Kizigenza were among the nominees for the Best-Dressed Young Man award. However, Lee, a young fashion designer, outshined the rest thanks to his exceptional style that blended culture with modern fashion knowledge. Lee appeared confident, walking the red carpet like someone who knew exactly where he was headed. He won the award, beating out big names, prompting many to say that “young people have the power to bring change in fashion.”

Lastly, the event was attended by various officials, including the State Minister in the Ministry of Youth and Arts Development, Sandrine Umutoni. Minister Umutoni praised the work of the Sherrie Silver Foundation, stating that it aligns with the Government’s vision for the development of the arts prioritizing training, production, and the dissemination of creative work both nationally and internationally. She said, “The Government of Rwanda recognizes the importance of this matter. Under the leadership of His Excellency President Paul Kagame, we are committed to placing cultural industries at the forefront of national development.”
